COUNSELLOR
Rolleston
As a qualified person-centred counsellor, I focus on fostering authenticity as a way of being. This approach encourages clients to acknowledge and accept both comfortable and uncomfortable emotions, learning to tune into these feelings rather than suppressing them. I incorporate psychoeducation and creative therapies — such as using figurines, drawing, and writing — to enhance the counselling process. Psychoeducation helps clients understand that certain
misunderstood or rejected behaviours are part of normal human experience, while creative therapies can bypass cognitive barriers to access a deeper sense of authenticity.
In a person-centred framework, I offer a space of unconditional positive regard
where you can share what it’s like to be you. Believing that you are the expert of
your own life and driven by a natural capacity for growth, I will accompany you on
your journey, exploring areas that may have been hidden or overlooked. Together,
we will cultivate greater understanding and self-awareness.
